Good Morning Canada!
My name is Stacey, proud daughter of a truck driver, born & raised in Kingston ON. I am a graphic designer for the federal government… or I was… On August 13th Justin Trudeau made his first threat to the Federal Public Service. I called my doctor straight away to talk about my many health issues. She immediately responded stating “they are safe and effective and that I will be fine!”, even though I can end up in an ambulance with one rotten Barry from my allergies. I went home that night and started FedsForFreedom. Throughout my life I have always refused to engage in political conversations as I have always felt they lie, scheme & deceive to get into power, then never actually make any positive change. Well I guess I was right about the power hungry liars!
At work I have invoked my right to refuse dangerous work, based on my employer mandating me to take a deadly hazardous substance in order to perform a job I had been performing for the past 18 month in the office with not a single issue. Side note there were only issues in the workplace after the implementation of the policy! I even received recognition for manufacturing PPE for government personnel to go into long term care homes, with little to no proper PPE provided to me! They falsified documents, gas-lit me and wouldn’t even complete an in-person inspection of my physical workplace to tell me what changed from Oct 5 – 6 to make it so dangerous to need this policy! Yesterday I filed documents to take the labour board to court as they are refusing to investigate at the 3rd level. They think I should be going to the human rights commissioner about my PPE issues, that’s new. O I will be self representing also as my union has decided my situation is too complicated to award me legal representation…
I have also submitted a whistle blower disclosure over at the office of public sector integrity commissioner of Canada. They came back and said “the investigation relates to a matter that results from a balanced and informed decision-making process on a public policy issue.” Well there was no sitting house from June 24th – November 19th, as JT was out getting stoned around Canada. So we can chalk that department up to smoke and mirrors. I have also filed a notice of harassment, a grievance for being placed on LWOP as an essential worker… all to no avil. NO Law, Code, Oath, Directive, Order, Policy, Procedure or Resume matter to our employers anymore other then the COVID policy!! Why should our reputations and resumes all come down to a personal health choice, that was never in my contract and will never be!!!
I knew I wouldn’t have the strength or knowledge to fight this on my own as a new Federal Public Servant, so I started FedsForFreedom a not for profit. We have over 20 amazing admins & approximately 6000 members on several platforms. Some of our group initiatives have been;
submitting a privacy complaint looking for the privacy impact assessment and evidence that was used to substantiate the need to divulge our private medical information… still waiting for that evidence… an open letter to JT with 1400 signatures. Open letters to our Unions asking for a meeting with members, no response. We even sat out front of our union halls trying to get a meeting for 3 days, no one answered, but instead they called us “racist, sexist, anti-Semitic and homophobic”. There were 30 of us from all different backgrounds, cooking hot dogs, hanging out with the police. We run a Nightly Peer Support Group. We have filed a complaint against our unions at the Federal Labour Board. And this Wednesday our Lawyer’s served a Cease and Desist to the TSB, The Ministers & Deputy Ministers of the Core Public Administration, including the RCMP. Along with a couple additional elected officials who need a kick in the ass letting them know if they don’t back down we will be filing legal action against them!
I am here today and so proud to be a Canadian, for the first time in years. As we move forward re-building our country’s democracy and policies we need to all become more involved in our local communities! If you want to see change, you have to go be that change. Getting to know your neighbours, the farmers in your area & building community outreach is crucial to us making it through these hungry day’s ahead. Start community gardens, go old school and bring back 4H Club’s, go learn valuable trade knowledge and make a difference in areas that interest you. Time to get back to the old ways of our grandparents, before technology and corrupt politician’s ruined our country. And as the great Dwight Yoakum once said “Together we Stand & Divided We Fall”.
